There's constant scrutiny of actresses in Hollywood about their looks. In this business, younger women are judged daily on the basis of their physical appearance which impacts on their ability to get roles in productions. It must be a stressful situation for them, causing some serious anxiety. Hence, it's a guessing game as to which Hollywood stars use surgery or cosmetic procedures to look young. Sometimes, it's a more obvious change that simply comparing photos of the 'present' and 'past years' will reveal. But at other times, the difference is quite subtle. So we answer the question: Did she, or didn't she?

Cameron Diaz - 46

Being beautiful and combatting aging is a subject that actress Cameron Diaz is familiar with. She even wrote a couple of publications on how to live life at its best and being healthy.  But in 2014, during the process of releasing The Body Book, she revealed that she'd given Botox a try in a 'minimal' way. She was talking to Entertainment Tonight and told them about how it altered her facial features for the worse. She hated it and realized that she preferred to age naturally. That was a good call.  Diaz's box office gross earnings in the US have totaled more than $3B as of 2018.

Nicole Kidman - 51

Years ago, among the actresses most known to have used the Botulinum toxin was Nicole Kidman. She had it injected for a long time, attempting to remain healthy and young and then said goodbye to it. In 2011, Nicole, who today looks so youthful, admitted to her former habit while speaking to TV Movie, a popular German magazine. However, she disliked how her visage looked each time she did it, which prompted her to stop. It was a relief to be able to smile more naturally again. Enjoying her untampered looks, Kidman has at least three upcoming TV series and two films, one being the movie, The Goldfinch, in 2019.

Naomi Watts - 50

Naomi Watts is 50, but if we didn't tell you, you probably wouldn't have guessed it. When it comes to the question is uses injections and fillers, only Naomi knows for sure. She says it is both a difficult decision to use it, and a difficult decision not to use it, but she won't say she'll never use it. She said in 2016 that for her acting job, she would usually play the part of women about her age (with some wrinkles here and there) facing various life challenges. Her face, therefore, needed to reflect this. Naomi, who starred in the film The Wolf Hour in 2018, looked great. And she still does.

Christie Brinkley - 65

Still showing that sparkle in her eyes, the model/actress who never seems to age keeps her views on beauty enhancement procedures balanced. Brinkley says that for a refreshed look, you should use only a small amount of Botox.  She adds that by not having too much of it, you can still look like your natural self. She asserts that women shouldn't change how they look but instead address the few lines that give them some concern. She and daughters Sailor and Alexa were named the FN Style Influencer of the Year in 2018.

Pamela Anderson - 51

Pamela Anderson, TV's former Baywatch hottie, could have had too much plastic surgery. Now, she's keeping her beauty routine natural. She concedes that her using Botulinum toxin possibly wasn't the best decision she had ever made. In 2015, she said that she stopped using it on the basis of her 'negative' experience. Anderson recounted how her eyes sank deeply into her head and she no longer looked like herself. She advocates now for a little maintenance to look beautiful, but she is not preoccupied with it. In 2018, she showed off her moves and good looks as a dance competitor in France on Danse avec les stars.

Kelly Ripa - 48

She's the proverbial perky host of a morning show wowing us with her natural charm. But Kelly Ripa also has cast her eyes upon the products that promise a perpetual young appearance. When her morning co-workers informed her that her face reflected anger, Ripa quipped in humor that it was time for Botox. But she actually had one around 2015. In typical Ripa humor, she joked about it on-air with Megyn Kelly, that for about half a year, people would ask why Kelly didn't smile any longer, when in fact she was smiling. Kelly didn't touch the needle again after that. She appeared as Ms. Mulwray in the TV series Riverdale, in 2019.

Dana Delany - 63

This actress is 63? She looks incredible! Beginning in early 2019, she's been playing Col. Glenn Turnbull on the new TV series, The Code. However Dana Delany can also tell the story of her brush with fillers and injections, and it's one that will scare even the hardest core among users. When her dermatologist did an injection on her forehead, it caused a large internal bruise when he connected with a nerve. That nerve, which hasn't had any life since has caused her right eye to begin to droop a little as its muscle has become affected. So her face has lost symmetry, but all we see is gorgeous.

Angelina Jolie - 43

At the more mature age of 43, Angelina Jolie's Hollywood career has expanded from acting to directing, screenwriting and producing films as well. She shows her directing skills in the 2017 film First They Killed My Father, for which she's also a co-writer. As it pertains to plastic surgery, Jolie is rather open and feels that people should do what makes them comfortable. However, personally, she hasn't partaken of these types of procedures and says she doesn't plan to. And if you look like she does, why do you need to?

Salma Hayek - 52

In 2016, the gorgeous celebrity, Salama Hayek, who starred in The Hitman's Bodyguard in 2017, had a sit-down with InStyle in which she expounded on her opinions about aesthetic surgery. It was the year she turned 50 and she told the media outlet that she'd never had the procedure done. Her overall approach is for longevity, which means not just focusing on looking her best in her early 50s but also at 70. She feels that procedures that offer a quick fix make you look older. Her advice is to exercise for a radiant glow, and that natural beauty methods are best for looking young. She obviously practices what she preaches.

Halle Berry - 52

Though the timeless beauty, Revlon spokesmodel and actress Halle Berry, believes that people should follow the path that suits them in a quest for beauty, she has some reservations. Explaining further as she also spoke to InStyle, Berry said she wouldn't tell people that one method was good and another bad. However, she vehemently opposes the concept of people starting beauty procedures methods too young, like a girl whom she's learned had gotten a Botox nearing her bat mitzvah at 12 years old. Halle starred in the 2019 action movie, John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum. Looking at her form, she's still an epitome of fitness.

Amy Schumer - 37

Comedian Amy Schumer takes a comical approach to many of her life experiences like having a child and aging. When she had her boy in May 2019 with her hubby farmer and chef, Chris Fischer, she took a light approach toward appearing on Social Media bare-faced and showing her baby. The gorgeous and effervescent Schumer isn't afraid to let the public know that Botox use isn't something that she opposes, but her plan is to accept the gradual changes that aging brings. She's confident that she won't be resorting to surgeries or getting fillers. In true comedic style, she told Health that perhaps an emptier was what she needed to use instead!

Kate Winslet - 43

One more actress who seems to believe in not tampering with her natural looks is Kate Winslet. A woman for whom her chronological age has no relevance, she's never been silent about her feelings on the matter of using injectables and the like. Winslet was said to be really enthusiastic about the natural movement of her forehead as she transitioned through various facial expressions in filming for her serious roles. She was happy that her eyebrows moved freely as they were supposed to.  In a movie to come, Winslet plays Ronal in the 2021 film, Avatar 2.

Courteney Cox - 54

Actress Courteney Cox is showing her natural good looks of late. However, that wasn't always the case. Cox has exposed how much she regrets the time when injectables caught her interest. She was being featured on the reality TV show Running Wild With Bear Grylls. She explained the pressure she felt as a woman to keep her looks for vanity reasons and for her career. Cox admits that adopting anti-aging measures has been an impossible feat. She regretted her injectable cosmetic procedures and hated the outcome. She's thankful that the chemicals have dissolved and she looks like herself again. Cox appeared in the 2018 TV series, Shameless.

Tina Fey - 54

Comedian/actress Tina Fey is known to be able to have a whole audience in stitches with laughter. However, when it comes to her good looks, she's dead serious, though she might still poke a joke or two at herself. Tina, who is maturing like fine wine, attributes her youthful beauty to two things: her firming creams, and jokingly, to her attempts at making chin straps on hats fashionable once more. She subscribes to the path of more natural aging and doesn't do Botox or any similar treatment. She was nominated for the first time for a Tony Award for Mean Girls, under the 'Best Book of a musical' category, in 2018.

Emma Watson - 29

Emma Watson is a young Hollywood actress of 29, and so doesn't have problems like fine lines, creases, and sagging. But even this lovely woman feels the squeeze from the entertainment world for her to have a great persona and be happy. Finding Los Angeles to be a scary place, she thinks she'll go crazy if she'll watch everything she eats, exercise daily for four hours, and think about nothing but how she looks all day.  Happily, Emma is still sane. In Disney's hit live-action version of Beauty and the Beast in 2017, she depicted Belle. Meanwhile, she is set to appear in the film, Little Women, in late 2019.

Olivia Wilde - 35

Olivia Wilde had her debut as a director in 2019 for the film, Booksmart. We congratulate her. As an actress and now director, she's talented and breathtaking. In relation to maintaining her looks, Wilde is doing it au naturel. She has admitted to the public that Botulinum toxin is among the popular cosmetic approaches that she hates and loathes plastic surgery. She says that the injectible causes people to look like Madame Tussaud wax figures, and fillers give her the creeps. As an actor, we last saw Wilde in the 2018 romance-drama movie, Life Itself.

Sofia Vergara - 46

Modern Family's Sofia Vergara doesn't seem to be aging fast. In an interview she did with InStyle Magazine in 2014, she argued that if people were made more self-assured and content with their looks through Botox, then she doesn't see why they shouldn't have it. She cautioned, however, that people should research the matter so they know what the result would be. To her, the procedure makes them refreshed but not younger. Sofia knows aging is a natural process but she doesn't want to go through it. She was the biggest-earning actress on US TV in 2016, 2012, and  2013. Meanwhile, Modern Family began its last season in February 2019.

Cindy Crawford - 53

Model/actress Cindy Crawford became a spokesperson for Italy's Acqua Minerale San Benedetto in 2016.  So in her 50s, she's still in demand. When asked how she maintains her looks, Cindy had to be honest. She says that her cosmetic surgeon is responsible for the quality of her skin. Admittedly, at her age, she uses creams to give her skin a really nice feel and look, however, to give her back elasticity, she relies on collagen, Botox, and vitamin injections. Cindy does have healthy eating habits like drinking plenty of water, dieting, and exercising.

Debi Mazar - 54

Entourage actress Debi Mazar actually likes Botox though she doesn't use it anymore. She said that she tried it and it worked great for her. Speaking candidly, her explanation to Into The Gloss about the matter is that Botox's effectiveness is either hit or miss. The drawback with using it as an actress was that she needed facial movement for expressions, and Botox killed that. The other problem was that she metabolized it very fast, so the effect only lasted three to four weeks. Therefore, to her, it was a waste of money. Debi looks fantastic without it anyway. She portrayed actress Ava Gardner in the movie Arde Madrid in 2018.

Brooke Shields - 53

Brooke Shields has been acting since her childhood. Remember the movie The Blue Lagoon? She was only 15 then. Now in her 50s, she has done a good job of growing older naturally but has a few wrinkles that she wants to lose. Brooke wants to do it via laser treatment. She's, however, understandably very cautious. Brooke says she doesn't want to be mistaken for the Joker afterward so is looking for someone with a gentle touch to do it. As for Botox, she has tried it, but it's not a procedure she wants to repeat. She returned to the cast of the show Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in 2017-2018.

Vanessa Williams - 56

Actress/singer Vanessa Williams was once crowned Miss America. She has always been a beautiful woman and at 56 is holding her own in the looks department. In 2008, when she was 45, People Magazine popped the beauty question, like if she had used Botox. Williams answered in the affirmative and explained that she used it with a light hand because she wanted to have a natural, real look. It worked. Williams had the role of Suzanne in the movie made for televisions called False Profits, in 2018. She has been acting on TV since 1984.

Amanda Peet - 47

Amanda Peet, who's been acting in Brockmire on television since 2016, looks so fresh at 47. She's doing it without fillers and Botox, which she has never gotten. The reason she states she has never done it is that she's a mother. Furthermore, Pete hasn't even done any surgeries. Talking about her personal choice to her fans on Conversations with Maria Menounos on Sirius XM, she attributes it to being the parent of a couple of girls. She did say she used other cosmetic items and had spent quite a bit of cash on them.

Amy Sedaris - 58

It just seems so appropriate that Princess Carolyn has never had any procedures such as Botox and fillers on her visage. Amy Sedaris, who portrayed that character, said it was OK if others wanted to do it, but for her personally, it was not the thing to do. She recounts her experience going to a party and not recognizing two people that she knew had gotten Botox which seriously changed their features. Sedaris is afraid of becoming hooked on it today but doesn't know what the future will bring. She has a role in The Lion King, which is out in 2019.

Kristin Cavallari - 32

Actress Kristin Cavallari is only 32, and so her fight against the dreaded aging has basically just begun. She's doing a fantastic job so far. With her still-firm skin, she doesn't have a whole lot to do to remain attractive. In a book she wrote titled Balancing in Heels: My Journey to Health, Happiness, and Making It All Work, she said that her aim was to not ever use an injectable or filler like Botox. Kristin says she doesn't dislike people who use Botox, but her personal preference is to retain her beauty using more natural methods. Kristin is the presenter in the reality TV show, Paradise Hotel in 2019.

Julianne Moore - 58

As a professional actress, Julianne Moore's movies that have earned the biggest gross figures include Kingsman: The Golden Circle in 2017. Moore doesn't feel that using Botox improves people's looks. When Allure asked her about her view on these types of beauty treatments, she said people who had done it had the appearance of having undergone a procedure on their face. Moore adds that people's instincts tend to reject the "Botoxed face" as being unappealing as it's seen as not being a natural look. Well, we certainly don't reject Moore's features! Her natural beauty keeps shining through.

Gwyneth Paltrow - 46

Cosmopolitan UK magazine got a superhero's response when they asked Gwyneth Paltrow about her personal approach to remaining young and attractive. She told the media outlet that she had no love for Botox. In her belief, it is effective on some faces, however, when it becomes noticeable, it is when it has a false appearance. Gwyneth ends by saying that people have lost the storyline when they focus on small bits of their face and attempt to fix it all. Gwyneth has been showing both youthfulness and beauty. Gwyneth was last seen on Avengers: Endgame full movie in 2019 as she reprised her character of Virginia 'Pepper' Potts/Rescue.

Amanda Seyfried - 33

In actress Amanda Seyfried's view, Botox and face-lifts fall into two separate categories, and one is a more extreme approach than the other. She expressed it when the New York Times interviewed her at age 31. She told them she didn't want to fool around with Botox, but each individual should do what he or she thought was best. In her opinion, when people start doing it, they all begin to look the same because the procedure comes with a certain appearance of a skinny nose, big lips, and stiff expression. Amanda, who has an upcoming 2019 film called The Art of Racing in the Rain, looks all naturally pretty to us.

Robin Wright - 53

Actress Robin Wright says she's not hiding her Botox use. As a matter of fact, she has told the Telegraph that a lot of people are doing it. She believes that the majority of women use 10 units, however, it causes the face to freeze and then you can't do facial expressions - even a natural smile. So for her, the best recourse is to use one unit and spread it around on different places in the face. In that way, she gets more of a natural aging effect that works for her. Wright will be reprising her role of Antiope on Wonder Woman 1984 which is now in post-production stage.

Kate Beckinsale - 45

Kate Beckinsale is noted in Glamour magazine as saying that when it comes to her looks, she'd rather look natural than have plastic surgery done. She says she ascribes to her mom's beauty looks and prefers it to what is popular in Los Angeles. The LA look is a type of look that she describes as a face that has gone through a wind tunnel. Beckinsale, who is now 45, and with her playful hairstyle, is beautiful and has a youthful glow. She was critically acclaimed for her portrayal of her character in the movie Love & Friendship, which was released in 2016. She also appeared in the 2019 TV series, The Widow.

Julia Roberts - 51

Actress Julia Roberts who is the star of both the movie Money Monster in 2016 and the Amazon thriller series titled Homecoming in 2018, knows how important it is to keep looking beautiful in Hollywood. She's doing so good a job that you can knock ten years off of her age! How is she achieving this? Julia says she's doing it via natural methods because it's important to her that her children can see when she's confused, ecstatic or really angry. She has told Elle that the face tells a tale, which shouldn't be that you've gone to the doctor to get help.

Drew Barrymore - 44

Drew Barrymore, the Hollywood A-lister famous for movies like Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, says that undergoing plastic surgery isn't something that she plans to do. She has expressed her belief that going down that road is a slippery trip, that once you start, it's as if you can't stop. She added that others in the industry who had it were beginning to look waxy. It's a fate Barrymore says she'll try her best to avoid as she wants her natural looks. And since she looks so fabulous not having done Botox, why should she? In 2019, Barrymore is a judge on the reality talent competition, The World's Best.

Heidi Klum - 45

Model and TV personality Heidi Klum is in love with looking natural when it comes to her appearance. And we shouldn't wonder since it's what has allowed her to earn her the big bucks as a supermodel for years. Heidi has told Allure that each individual has his or her personal views about what is attractive and what isn't, and to her, plastic surgery isn't attractive. Appearing as 'herself' in the 2018 film Ocean's 8, Klum has still been making waves with respect to her beauty. It has helped her get parts in TV shows like Parks and Recreation, and How I Met Your Mother.

Michelle Pfeiffer - 61

Michelle Pfeiffer, one of Tinsel Town's top stars, plans to age naturally and gracefully. Michelle, in giving her take on the matter, says she doesn't think that men are interested in women who don't nourish themselves enough. She also thinks that men become less interested in women who are skinny or have had plastic surgery that twists their features. Furthermore, she added that having all the plastic surgery doesn't stop the aging process. Can we say, Michelle, that at 61, your natural looks are amazing? Pfeiffer's film in 2019 is Maleficent: Mistress of Evil.

Meryl Streep - 69

Hollywood's legendary actress, Meryl Streep, has tons of experience on this whole business of aging in showbiz. Streep, who still gets choice parts in films, opposes plastic surgery publicly. She has a word of wisdom about beauty as it pertains to getting older for those who are younger in the acting business. She advises that the great part about getting to a more mature age is that the parts you receive are frequently the interesting roles. They no longer call on you in your role of the leading lady, to be gorgeous. That should dispel some anxiety! In 2017, Streep received a special Golden Globe Award - the Cecil B. DeMille Award.

Jennifer Aniston - 50

Though the Jennifer Aniston that we recall from her younger days on the television show Friends no longer looks like a 20-year-old, she, in no way, looks like she's 50. Jennifer says she's doing this without Botox. She doesn't believe in it, stating that the drug distorts one's face, and gives the opposite look from that which the user is going for. Jen told InStyle that if the facial expressions which appear naturally can't be made, that is what makes people look older. We'll see plenty of her natural beautiful expressions as Karen Kessler on her new television show The Morning Show coming in the fall of 2019.
